Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, Group Chief Executive Officer at Singtel said, "We appreciate the steadfast support of our businesses partners whose generous contributions have helped our largest fundraiser for the Singtel Touching Lives Fund set a new fundraising record for the event. With the amount raised, we will be able to further our goal of advancing the development and inclusion of vulnerable segments in our community. We support some 1,800 students yearly across our six adopted special education schools, and it is gratifying to see the progress made over the past 12 years. We are pleased that students have been securing internships and employment opportunities as well as integrating into mainstream higher learning institutes for further vocational training."

At the post-event dinner, students had the opportunity to showcase the skills from their vocational training as well as their musical talent. Students from APSN Delta Senior School served welcome drinks and some of the courses to guests, while APSN Tanglin School students displayed confidence and enthusiasm with a vibrant percussion performance.

Singtel's support for SPED schools and students extends beyond raising funds through its charity golf event. The Group also organises a range of initiatives across the year for the students to develop their skills, encourage creative expression and gain confidence outside of the classroom. This includes the Singtel Carnival, a day-long event where children with special needs can have fun in a safe and inclusive space with the support of Singtel volunteers. Two years ago, the Expressions Through Art programme was also launched to showcase students' artwork in public venues, celebrating their artistic talents and raising public awareness of special needs. Artworks by the students have been presented at the National Gallery Singapore, 313@Somerset and SMRT stations islandwide.

Mr Phua Huat Chuan, Principal at APSN Tanglin School added, "The educational journey of our teenage students has greatly benefited from the Singtel Touching Lives Fund. Singtel's support has opened doors for our students, offering them opportunities to shine. For example, our students showcase their artistic talents to a broader audience with their performance at the charity golf event dinner. Additionally, they also participate in the Expressions Through Art exhibitions, allowing them to be champions of inclusivity through their colourful artworks. This collaboration has not only broadened their horizons, but also significantly enriched their lives, underscoring the transformative power of this partnership."

Singtel covers all fundraising expenses for the golf event, ensuring all donations from partners go towards the Singtel Touching Lives Fund. Since its inception in 2002, the fund has raised more than S$57 million.
