Alaska Historical Commission Meeting - October 3
The Alaska Historical Commission will meet via MS TEAMS to approve Certified Local Government grant applications, a National Register of Historic Places nomination, and three geographic name proposals. Additionally, Commission members will engage in two important informational sessions. The morning session includes a presentation by staff to the U.S. Board of Geographic Names on Geographic Name Change Proposals. At the afternoon session, Rosie Rios, U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission Chair, will lead a discussion on Alaska and America250. State officials will also provide remarks. To register to attend either the Geographic Names or America250 session, or provide public comment, email a request to [email protected].
