Erie Insurance names Aaysha Noor vice president for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

ERIE, Pa., June 21, 2024 - Erie Insurance (ERIE) has named Aaysha Noor to the role of vice president, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Noor is nationally recognized for her DEI thought leadership andsuccess in fostering an inclusive workplace that drives innovation, service excellence and business success.

Joining the company on June 24, Noor reports to ERIE's Chief Diversity and Community Development Officer Christine Blashock and lead ERIE's DEI team and related enterprise initiatives.

Noor has a proven track record of building a culture of inclusion and belonging. For the last four years, she was head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at The Giant Company, an omni-channel retailer with nearly 36,000 employees in five states. At Giant, Noor worked collaboratively across functions to build a DEI strategy focused on people, culture and communities, and sustain an inclusive workforce and marketplace to drive innovation and better serve the diverse needs of all stakeholders.

Noor is also a sought-after speaker and facilitator. Her many honors include the DEI Champion Award presented by the National Diversity Council, 2023 Top 15 Influential Women in Diversity by Diversity Global Magazine and Lo Mejor de lo Mejor Community Leader of the Year by Latino Connection and Color & Culture.

A graduate of the University of Home Economics in Lahore, Pakistan, Noor also earned a professional diploma at the National College of Arts in Lahore. She holds multiple certifications in DEI leadership, neurodiversity and change management.

Noor is involved with several nonprofits to make a positive difference. She currently serves on the PA Humanities Board of Directors as well as the HACC (Central Pennsylvania's Community College) Foundation and Community Advisory Council for MLK365.
