Garland Symphony Orchestra's 2024-2025 Season

Embark on a musical journey with the Garland Symphony Orchestra's 46th consecutive season, titled 'Music: A Matter of Life and Death.' This season delves into the profound exploration of the human experience, as reflected in the compositions of great masters.

From the poignant depths of Richard Strauss' tone poem 'Death and Transfiguration' to the exhilarating bursts of Glinka's overture to 'A Life for the Tsar,' the GSO's repertoire will unravel the mysteries of existence itself. This season promises to be a captivating exploration of how renowned composers have grappled with the timeless dilemma of human mortality through their art.

Featuring a stellar lineup of guest artists, including the virtuoso Spanish pianist Daniel del Pino and the talented Korean American violinist Julian Rhee, our audiences will be treated to unforgettable performances. Dallas pianist Eldred Marshall will premiere a new piano concerto by local composer Michael Capps, adding a contemporary touch to the timeless theme.
