SWOSU Volleyball Earns 2024 AVCA Team Academic Award & Honor Roll Status

LEXINGTON, Ky. -SWOSU Volleyball earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, announced Wednesday by the organization. The Bulldogs also achieved the additional distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, which signifies the program lands in the top 20% of GPAs in NCAA Division II.

The academic award, sponsored by INTENT, recognizes teams from all levels of collegiate and high school volleyball that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. SWOSU finished with a 3.64 team GPA throughout 2023-24.

"To not only earn the team academic award but also be placed on the honor roll list is a testament to this group's focus, discipline, and effort in the classroom," said head volleyball coach Josh Collins. "It's great their hard work is able to be recognized by the AVCA and I couldn't be any prouder of them."
