REDDING - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans District 2) and Nevada Barricade & Sign Company, Inc. are preparing to begin work on a rumble-strip project on State Route 36 in Lassen County. The $824k project will place rumble-strips on the center line stripe and both the eastbound and westbound shoulders of SR 36 in and near Susanville, from East Riverside Road to just west of the junction with U.S. 395.

Construction activities are currently planned to start on Monday, October 7th. When work is underway, motorists should plan for up to 10-minute delays, Mondays - Fridays overnights between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is currently anticipated to be completed by mid-October.
