Prison inmate William Cook dies

DES MOINES - William Lee Cook was pronounced dead at 4:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 at Mercy One Hospital. Cook was 65 years old at the time of his death.

Cook had been serving a two-year term for a crime from Dubuque County. His sentence began on Sept. 12, 2024.
