Inflation Reduction Act Delivers for Central New York and Mohawk Valley Families – No Thanks to Brandon Williams

The IRA has created more than 334,000 jobs nationwide and lowered costs for millions of families since 2022

Two years ago, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law thanks to House Democrats.

Every single House Republican - including Brandon Williams - opposed this landmark legislation.

The historic legislation has delivered working families across the country by cutting costs, creating jobs, and investing in American manufacturing. The Inflation Reduction Act has:

• Saved families an average of $300 a year on energy costs.

• Created more than 334,000 jobs - including 28,934 jobs in New York - and is projected to create more than 1.5 million jobs nationwide by 2030.

• Capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month for Medicare recipients, saving 3,300 people in NY-22 $450 per a year.

• Capped prescription drug costs for Medicare recipients at $2,000 per year (starting in 2025). More 18 million seniors will save an average of $400 a year, 1.8 million of which could save as much as $2,500 a year.

• Kept the health care industry from raising costs on 10,000 people in NY-22 who rely on the Affordable Care Act, saving them $1,660 per year.

Brandon Williams and House Republicans have voted 42 times to repeal the job creating investments in the Inflation Reduction Act. But that hasn't stopped Williams from falsely taking credit.

Meanwhile, John Mannion has worked to lower costs by accelerating middle-class tax cuts and create jobs by leading the passage of New York's Green Chips law, which helped bring Micron to Clay - while Brandon Williams rallied against the federal CHIPS Act.
