Live Updates: Tracking Fills for Weight Loss Medications

Medications used for weight loss, like semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) have been all the rage recently. And they only seem to be gaining in popularity, according to new research from GoodRx. Since July 2022, fills for weight loss medications have been climbing, with Ozempic seeing the largest lift.

2024 is sure to see more interesting changes in the weight loss space, and GoodRx will be updating the chart below monthly.

Methodology

Prescription percentage calculation:Using a representative sample of U.S. prescription fills, we calculated the fill percent for different weight-loss medications. Fill percent was calculated by taking the fill count for a medication as a percentage of fills for all medications. (We excluded vaccines from our fill count of all medications.)
