MJ Lenderman Plays She’s Leaving You, Iris DeMent’s My Life on SiriusXM

During a brand-new edition of "SiriusXMU Sessions" at SiriusXM's NYC Studios, singer-songwriter MJ Lenderman performed three songs from his upcoming album, "Manning Fireworks," and covered acclaimed Americana artist Iris DeMent's "My Life."

MJ Lenderman Covers Iris DeMent's 'My Life' and More

Before playing his rendition of "My Life" at the end of the set, MJ mentioned he first heard the song from Iris DeMent's 1994 album of the same name while watching Harmony Korine's movie "Mister Lonely" (2007).

MJ also performed "She's Leaving You," "Joker Lips," and "Wristwatch" from his fourth studio LP, "Manning Fireworks," due out on September 6.
