Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility hopes to hire about 1,500 new employees across a variety of skills, trades and specialties, for both entry-level and journey-level, full-time Federal positions, through a two-day hiring fair, August 9-10, at the Kitsap Conference Center in downtown Bremerton, Washington.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
PSNS & IMF is seeking people with a variety of skillsets and experience levels, including applicants with no previous trade skills or experience. Those interested in applying for Federal jobs at the command should bring copies of their résumé and a list of their references.

Attendees should be prepared for an on-the-spot interview. Tentative job offers may be made to select candidates the day of the event.
Today, PSNS & IMF employs more than 14,000 Sailors and Federal civilian personnel who accomplish the command's mission to maintain, modernize and retire the U.S. Navy's fleet. Located in Bremerton, the command also has detachments in Everett, Wash., San Diego, Calif. and Yokosuka, Japan, where employees may be able to work temporarily.
During the event, command representatives will share information about Federal career opportunities in various trades and job fields related to Navy ship maintenance and repair. Booths will be set up with information about each represented trade, and mechanics and managers will be available to answer questions.
Due to security restrictions at the event, large bags (such as backpacks) will not permitted inside the job fair. All hand-carried items are subject to search.
