WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Juan Vargas (CA-52) released the following statement on the death of Hassan Nasrallah.

"Hassan Nasrallah and the terrorist group he led, Hezbollah, have unleashed violence and destruction for decades and are responsible for killing hundreds of Americans, including civilians and service members. Nasrallah's death is a measure of justice for his many victims and their families. As President Biden has said, the United States fully supports Israel's right to defend itself against Hezbollah and any other Iranian-backed terrorist group. Without a doubt, our world is a safer place without Nasrallah."
