Solitaire.io Kickstarter Success with “CritterCraft Playing Cards”

Solitaire.io, an innovative business developing both online solitaire games and collectible playing cards, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully funding its first Kickstarter campaign. The project, titled "CritterCraft Playing Cards," surpassed its initial goal of £1,100, raising a total of £2,601 from 129 enthusiastic backers. The custom-designed card deck, featuring a playful and unique theme, will be delivered to supporters, with additional perks available for higher-tier pledges.

CritterCraft Playing Cards is the first in a planned series of themed decks. Unlike standard playing cards, each deck produced by Solitaire.io will showcase distinct and imaginative designs, suitable for a variety of card games including solitaire, poker, and rummy. For a limited time, interested buyers can still secure a deck through late pledges on the Kickstarter page.

Gaz Thomas, director of Solitaire.io, expressed his excitement over the project's success. "We are delighted this project is being supported by the card-collecting community straight out of the gate," Thomas said. "As newcomers to Kickstarter, we weren't sure if our first campaign would be successful, but the response has been fantastic."

Gaz, a seasoned game developer with over 100 published games, collaborated with fellow game developer and artist Chaz Carter to bring this project to life. Chaz, known for his whimsical art style, is already working on the next deck in the series. "The positive response of this Kickstarter shows there is demand for playing cards created in Chaz's unique and endearing style," Gaz noted. "He is busy illustrating the second deck right now, and we can't wait to show you!"

Beyond their collectible decks, Solitaire.ioalso offers classic online solitaire games and is developing new, experimental card games to engage its growing community. The Kickstarter success marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company, and fans of card games and collectables can look forward to more releases in the near future
