Increased Flows Expected on Santa Fe River This Week

The City of Santa Fe Water Division's drainage plan will begin today and continue through Wednesday, July 24.

As a result of the Nichols Reservoir Rehabilitation Project, flows downstream of the municipal reservoir into the Santa Fe River will temporarily increase.

Pedestrians along the river are advised to be aware of rising water levels along the outer banks and pools that could appear during the draining of Nichols Reservoir.

Drivers within Santa Fe County are advised to take caution at all river and arroyo water crossings.

The NOAA/National Weather Service expects an 80 percent chance of precipitation Monday, July 22, a 70 percent chance Tuesday, July 23 and a 40 percent chance Wednesday, July 24.
