"Throughout my time in Congress, I have been working tirelessly to make prescription drugs more affordable for the millions of Americans who rely on them, starting as a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform where I led the effort to investigate pharmaceutical pricing and harmful business practices that made drug prices out of reach for too many while executives at those companies padded their pockets. This investigation revealed the need for structural reforms to lower drug costs, which were achieved through passage of the Inflation Reduction Act that I was proud to vote for," said Congressman Mark DeSaulnier.
