Beasley Media Group Charlotte Stations Set to Raise Money for Autism Strong Foundation

Beasley Media Group announces KISS 95.1 WNKS, Power 98 WPEG, Country 1037 WSOC, V 101. WBAV and WKQC, Christmas K 104.7 will host a 13-hour radio-thon in partnership with Visit Myrtle Beach, benefiting the Autism Strong Foundation.

The live "Secret Santa" radio-thon will take place on Thursday, December 5th, beginning at 6am from the Beasley Media Group Studios located at 1520 South Blvd in Charlotte in North Carolina. Last year, the radio stations collectively raised over $40,000.

This year, the stations hope to increase donations and have a bigger impact on families touched by autism. Autism Strong is a local organization that provides support, community and financial assistance to families with children and adults that have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Listeners are encouraged to go to the radio station websites to make donations.

"We look forward to being a "Secret Santa" to these families," said Beasley Media Group Vice President of Music & Entertainment and Charlotte Operations Manager, John Reynolds. "It's always important to use the influence of local radio to serve our neighbors and inform them of the resources and opportunities available to them."

Visit Myrtle Beach is title sponsor on the radio-thon this year and wants to help families touched by autism enjoy their travel experiences. "At Visit Myrtle Beach, we believe that The Beach is for everybody and are continuously striving to enhance our destination, making it welcoming and inclusive for people of all abilities," said Karen Riordan, President and CEO of Visit Myrtle Beach. "We recognize that families with children on the autism spectrum often feel vacations are challenging and want to change that."
