WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump Chairman Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) and Jason Crow (D-Colo.) requested documents and information from Pennsylvania State Police as part of the Task Force investigation into the events leading up to and on July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania. The Task Force is requesting the information by September 16, 2024.

The letter to Pennsylvania State Police seeks all documents and communications related to the Trump rally held on July 13, 2024, including the planning, participation, and post-event actions and correspondence. The Task Force is also seeking documents and information relevant to any ongoing or completed criminal inquiries, investigations, and/or reports that have been completed by Pennsylvania State Police related to the attempted assassination.

This letter follows similar requests made by the Task Force to the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and the Department of Homeland Security in August and requests to local law enforcement earlier this week.
