Airport Road Project Update

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - On Monday, August 26, Phase 3 of the Airport Road Project continues with a new traffic control plan. The street reconstruction will result in a complete closure extending from the intersection of Airport Road and Morgan Avenue to just past the south entrance to the Corpus Christi State Living Center. The State Living Center and Salinas Park can be accessed only by entering Airport Road from Horne Road.

A detailed map is attached to visually represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments.

The Airport Road Project, which extends from Horne Road to Morgan Avenue, is expected to be completed in early spring of 2025.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
