City of Valdosta to Hold City Council Work Session, Millage Rate Public Hearing, and Special Called Meeting

The City of Valdosta announces its upcoming City Council meetings scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. The schedule includes a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the third millage rate public hearing at 6 p.m., and a special called meeting at 6:15 p.m.

All meetings will be held in the Council Chambers at Valdosta City Hall, located at 216 E. Central Ave., Valdosta, Ga. The public is encouraged to attend.

The work session will address key city matters and provide an opportunity for council members to discuss the agenda items in preparation for the next regular City Council meeting.

At 6 p.m., the third public hearing on the proposed millage rate will take place, allowing citizens to voice their opinions on the property tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year.

Immediately following the public hearing, the City Council will hold a special called meeting at 6:15 p.m.
