KTM Services Inc. issues allergy alert on undeclared milk in cookies

KTM Services, Inc. is voluntarily recalling their 5.3 ounce and 17.7-ounce packages of Enjoy Premium Taro Cookie and Enjoy Premium Coconut Cookie because they contain undeclared milk, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Sept. 20.

The recall was initiated after information was confirmed that the milk-containing product sub-ingredient was distributed in packaging without milk on the label.

People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The Defense Commissary Agency has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.

The recalled cookies were distributed in Hawaii, Guam and Las Vegas, Nevada, retail stores and through web sales. The cookies have a best by date between Sept. 12, 2024 through Aug. 7, 2025, stamped on the top of the bag. Cookies with an expired best by date prior to Sept. 12 also have a milk allergen missing from the label.

The following product is affected by this recall:

  • Enjoy Premium Taro Cookie 5.3 ounce and 17.7-ounce
  • Enjoy Premium Coconut Cookie 5.3 ounce and 17.7-ounce

Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
