9:35 AM UPDATE (ROAD OPEN) Front Street and Portion of Veterans Bridge Closed Northumberland and Snyder Counties

9:35 AM UPDATE: Front Street (Route 61) in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County and both entrance ramps to the Veterans Bridge (Route 61 southbound) from Route 11/15 in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County, are open. ​​

Montoursville, PA - - Motorists are advised that Front Street (Route 61) is closed at the intersection with Chestnut Street in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County, due to police activity. A detour using Market Street (Route 61) is in place.​​

Veterans Memorial Bridge SB Ramp Closure

Motorists are advised that both entrance ramps to the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Route 61 southbound) from Route 11/15 in Shamokin Dam Borough, Snyder County are closed, due to police activity. A detour using Route 11, Route 405, and Market Street (Route 61) is in place.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, and expect delays in travel.
