University of Wyoming students are encouraged to apply for the 2025 spring and summer alternative break programs, sponsored by the Service, Leadership and Community Engagement (SLCE) office. The deadline to apply is Sunday, Nov. 10.
Alternative breaks are immersive trips that engage students in service learning related to community and social issues.
The 2025 SLCE alternative spring and summer break titles and locations are "Conservation, Stewardship and Rock Climbing," in Moab, Utah; "Community Health," in Williamson, W. Va.; "Immigration and Border Issues," Las Cruces, N.M.; and "Animal Welfare," Kanab, Utah. An alternative break program focused on "Holocaust Remembrance," in Poland, will be offered May 19-26.
