On August 28, 2024, at approximately 5:24 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an apartment building in the 4000 block of Roblin Boulevard for the report of a male who had been stabbed.

Attending West District General Patrol officers located a 53-year-old male victim suffering from serious upper-body injuries sustained from a stabbing. He was transported to hospital, received medical attention, and was stabilized. The adult male suspect fled on foot before police arrived. The suspect and the victim were not previously known to one another.
