Stanley Consultants CEO Kate Harris honored by National Academy of Construction

Stanley Consultants CEO and Chair Kate Harris joined a prestigious group by recently being elected to the 2024 National Academy of Construction membership. The academy honors outstanding construction industry leaders and shares their collective experiences and expertise to improve their industry and help the nation.

In naming Harris a member, the organization said she is "a recognized international engineering business leader driving business innovation, client and community excellence, and the vital role of the AEC industry."

This year 44 new members were elected: 15 contractors, 10 designers, seven owners, seven service providers and five academics.

The 25-year-old academy, based out of the University of Texas at Arlington, has also convened a dozen symposia over the past decade, bringing together stakeholders to address industry issues such as workforce development, industry image, safety and use of best practices. Most recently the NAC Safety Committee convened five successful symposia at universities across the U.S., focused on introducing safety culture into undergraduate curricula in engineering and construction programs.
