DGA Statement on Governor-Elect Bob Ferguson's Victory in Washington

Today, Democratic Governors Association Chair Kansas Governor Laura Kelly released the following statement on Governor-elect Bob Ferguson being elected the next governor of Washington:

"Congratulations to Governor-elect Bob Ferguson on being elected the next governor of Washington.

"As Attorney General, Bob took on powerful special interests to stand up for all Washingtonians, looking out for consumers and the environment, keeping families safe, and protecting fundamental freedoms. His focus on fixing challenges like addressing housing affordability and homelessness, tackling mental health issues and creating more economic opportunity will continue to move Washington forward.

"The DGA looks forward to working with Bob as he continues his record of getting real results for the people of Washington."

The DGA invested over $1 million to the Washington State Democratic Party. At the same time, Evergreen Values, a group backed by the DGA, invested $7 million in Washington focused on ads that held Dave Reichert accountable for his extreme anti-abortion record.
