Traffic Shift on State Route 116 near Sebastopol for Culvert Work

Between Bloomfield Road and Sparkers Road

Sonoma County - Caltrans will shift traffic on State Route 116 between Bloomfield Road and Sparkers Road south of Sebastopol on weekdays, Monday, August 12, - Friday, August 29, 2024, between 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM to allow work crews to extend a drainage culvert.

To accommodate two-way traffic during work hours east- and westbound traffic lanes will be narrowed by one foot and shifted onto the westbound lane and shoulder to allow workers to extend the culvert. The length of the traffic shift will be about 1000 feet.Caltrans has placed electronic message boards on east - and westbound Route 116 to prepare motorists for the traffic switch. Flaggers will help motorists adjust to the temporary alignment.
