Rowe Named GOP Policy Committee Chair for 2025-26 Session

Nov. 12, 2024

HARRISBURG -As he continues his advocacy for residents of the 85th District, state Rep. David Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata) was today elected to serve as the House Republican Policy Committee chairman for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. Rowe was chosen by his peers to serve on the caucus leadership team.

"This session, I have traveled thousands of miles to participate in hearings of the House Republican Policy Committee. In those hearings, I learned so much about the challenges Pennsylvanians are facing, like grappling with skyrocketing energy costs and the pains of rising inflation," said Rowe. "From hearing testimony from experts in fields like energy and manufacturing, to gaining perspective from small business owners and first responders, I want to keep these voices at the forefront of policy conversations in Harrisburg.

"I am energized to serve in this capacity on the House Republican leadership team, and I look forward to working with colleagues and stakeholders to focus on meaningful, lasting legislative solutions to critical issues like inflation, crime, education, energy and more."

During the current session, Rowe served as the deputy chairman on education to the Policy Committee. As the Republican Policy Committee chairman, he will conduct hearings about important issues, gather testimony and information from stakeholders, and work with colleagues in the House Republican Caucus to develop policies that address issues important to Commonwealth residents.

Alongside Rowe, the new House leadership team will consist of House Republican Leader Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Fulton), Whip Tim O'Neal (R-Washington), Appropriations Chairman Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana), Caucus Administrator Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland), Caucus Chairman Martina White (R-Philadelphia) and Caucus Secretary Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford).
