Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Dec. 16 - 22, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Dec. 16- 22, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures whichcould cause delays.  

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting,and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Boone County

Route B - Pavement repairs planned Dec. 17 - 20. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route DD - Roadside work planned Dec. 17- 20. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Interstate 70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The new eastbound bridge is scheduled to open to trafficin December 2024. 

U.S. Route 63 - Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. I-70 - New pavement construction continues in Columbia from Route B (Paris Road) to U.S. Route 63through January 2027 as part of the Improve I-70 program.Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Callaway County

Missouri Route 94 - Roadside work plannedDec. 16- 18from County Road 453 and County Road 458. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

U.S. Route 54 - Guardrail work continues from Jefferson City to Kingdom City. Single-lane closures may occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning/evening rush hours. The project is expected to continue through January 2025.

I-70- New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City(near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity

Camden County

Route H - Culvert replacements planned Dec. 16 - 18 in several locations. The road will be CLOSED daily, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as follows:

Dec. 16

• Closed between Red Robin Road and the northern junction with Camden County Route T (west of Stoutland).

Dec. 17

• Closed just east of Bennett Road (between Stoutland and Richland).

Dec. 18

• Closed 0.5 miles east of Bennett Road (between Stoutland and Richland).
• Closed between the two Galena Road intersections (between Stoutland and Richland).

Cooper County

Route B - On-ramp from westbound Route B (Exit 103) to I-70. The ramp will be CLOSED daily, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Route F - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20 from Coal Bank Drive to Old Palestine Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route K - Bridge maintenance planned Dec. 16 - 20 at the Blackwater River Creek bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Crawford County

Missouri Route 8 - Roadside work planned Dec. 16 - 20 from Missouri Route 19 to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20from Route HHto KP Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 49 - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route F - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16 - 20 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route N - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20from Missouri Route 185 (Washington County) to the city of Bourbon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route M - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20 from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route PP - Roadside work planned Dec. 16 - 20from RutzSubdivision Road to Lick Creek Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Dent County

Route 19 - Roadside work planned at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge repalcement. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completein May 2025.

Laclede County

Route K - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16 - 17. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route JJ - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16- 20from Rail Drive to Route F. The road will be CLOSED daily, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Route NN - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16- 20. The road will be CLOSED daily, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

MariesCounty

Missouri Route 42 - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 19from the city of Vienna to the city of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route T - Roadside work planned Dec. 16 - 19 from Route JJ to County Road 211. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Miller County

RoutesPand FF - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16- 20. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Osage County

Missouri Route 133 - Roadside work planned Dec. 16 - 20 from Route E to County Road 516. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Phelps County

Route F - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16- 20from County Road 3150 to County Road 3170. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route J - Shoulder work planned Dec. 16- 20at the Spring Creek Bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route T - Pothole patching planned Dec. 16- 20. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route BB - Shoulder work planned Dec. 16- 20from Carson Street to Helen Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route HH - Culvert replacement planned Dec. 16- 20from County Road 8040 to County Road 8070. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Pulaski County

I-44 - Permit work planned Dec. 16 - 18 from mile marker 154 - 158.4. Working under a MoDOT-issued permit, the contractor will close one westbound lane of I-44 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

Route Z - Shoulder work planned Dec. 16from Missouri Avenue to Missouri Route 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route U - Shoulder work planned Dec. 16 - 18 from Buffalo Road to Black Oak Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Washington County

Route C - Pavement repairs planned Dec. 16 - 19 from Missouri Route 21 to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route N - Roadside work planned Dec. 16- 20from Route 185 to the city of Bourbon (Crawford County). One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
