BOZEMAN - Montana State University's Student Research Council - a student-run organization sponsored by the Office of Research and Economic Development - will host its second annual Undergraduate Research Fair to connect undergraduate students with research opportunities on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Strand Union Building's Ballroom A. The event is open to members of the MSU community, and refreshments will be provided.

At the fair, faculty and graduate students from MSU's academic departments and research centers will talk about their work and recruit undergraduates interested in their projects. Students will learn about potential research positions, connect with faculty members and find research opportunities that spark their interests. Members of the Student Research Council will also have a table at the entrance and will be available for peer advising.

"Montana State affords undergraduate students chances to take part in research experiences normally reserved for graduate students at other universities," said Alison Harmon, vice president for research and economic development. "We hope this fair will be a gateway for students to find their research calling at MSU."

Exhibitors can register by visiting the Undergraduate Research Fair RSVP form. For questions regarding the event, contact [email protected]. If you are interested learning more about MSU's undergraduate research opportunities, visit montana.edu/undergraduateresearch.
