Where: U.S. Route 60 Widening OPEN between National Avenue & Kansas Expressway In Springfield

When: TODAY, Friday, November 1

What: Traffic in final configuration on U.S. Route 60 between National Avenue & Kansas Expressway as part of the U.S. ROUTE 60 (James River Freeway) Widening Project. Contractor crews will have lane drops and moving work zones with reduced speed during nighttime hours for final cleanup of the project.

Traffic Impacts:

• Route 60 (James River Freeway) nighttime lane closures and speed reductions between National Avenue & Kansas Expressway in Springfield
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• Drivers will need to follow the signed detour or seek an alternate route to avoid the work zone
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC, Jefferson City

Total estimated cost: $21 million

• Intersection Improvements at Campbell Ave are a cost share with the City of Springfield
