NOME - The Norton Sound Economic Development Corporation (NSEDC) Board of Directors approved an amendment to the community benefits grants application process during its recent 2nd Quarter meeting, held Tuesday, July 30 - Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Deadlines for certain community benefits program applications are adjusted to one month earlier in the year, including that for Large Infrastructure Fund (LIF), Community Energy Fund (CEF), and Water & Sewer Fund (WSF). The application deadlines for these benefit programs will now fall as follows:
First Quarter - February 15
Second Quarter - May 15
Third Quarter - August 15
Fourth Quarter - November 15

These new deadlines will be effective for the 2024 fourth quarter application submissions. Applications may be submitted via email or can also be mailed via USPS. The newly adopted deadlines will provide applicants a larger window of time to receive feedback from staff and address details to complete their applications in preparation for review at quarterly board meetings.
