At Entergy, we honor and reflect on the contributions and accomplishments of our employees and recognize their value in the workplace and the communities we serve. Our exceptional employees not only shape the future business landscape, but they are committed to leadership, mentorship and pledging time within the community. One of our very own who encompasses these values is Amanda Edge, customer service manager in Monroe, Louisiana.

Earlier this month, Edge was awarded the James M. Shipp Jr Memorial Young Business Leader award from the Chamber of Commerce. This award is presented annually to a young individual who has displayed outstanding civic leadership ability, contributions to community progress, and has personal and/or business standing in Ouachita Parish.

"I was so delighted to receive this award," said Edge. "To be recognized and honored for your hard work is a remarkable feeling. My goal is to always not only work hard, but also plant my boots in the community and help foster growth and success to help shape a more vibrant Louisiana."

As an active community member, Edge is known for pledging her time with many organizations. She is currently active in GROWnela (serving as chair), North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP), LIDEA, Louisiana Delta Community College Foundation, American Red Cross, Downtown West Monroe Revitalization, BRIP, The West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, Executive Committee for the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, The United Way, and LABI Emerging Leaders to name a few.

"Amanda continues to be a key contributor not only within the community, but within the workplace here at Entergy," said Seth Schilling, manager, region customer service in North Louisiana. "She has been instrumental in many company projects including the Sterlington Solar project and the Bioresearch and Innovation Park that broke ground this year at the University of Monroe. We love having her on our team and are very proud of her achievements, she deserves it."

Committed to leading by example, Edge is never afraid to open doors, facilitate discussion or have tough conversations when necessary. She has an unwavering dedicated to serving others, and is a testament to the power of perseverance, resiliency and excellence, a true representation of Entergy's core values and future success.

Please join us in congratulating Amanda Edge on being the 2024 James M. Shipp Jr. Memorial Business Leader award recipient and her outstanding civic leadership within Monroe and Ouachita Parish.
