TUESDAY: Senate Judiciary Committee Holding Voting Meeting

HARRISBURG - The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Sen. Lisa Baker (R-20), will hold a voting meeting tomorrow, Oct. 1, off the floor in the Senate Rules Room of the Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

The following bills will be considered:

• Senate Bill 1300 P.N. 1845 (Langerholc) - Amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) to increase the statutory limitations on damages for catastrophic injuries in causes of actions against governmental entities.

• House Bill 1509, P.N. 1725 (N. Nelson) - Amends Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) to allow county board of prison inspectors to appoint 2-4 county residents as members; allows second class A counties to establish a board of inspectors by resolution.
