'Tis the season for get-togethers, gifting and deal hunting. Today, we're excited to share the first look at this year's holiday ad campaign, which showcases the awesome power of technology to amplify the moments our customers care about the most this holiday. And Gram, our new spokeshologram is back and ready to be the ultimate holiday helper.
Throughout the season, we're showing shoppers how the latest tech can help them crush the holidays-whether hosting family and friends, searching for the perfect gift or shopping new doorbusters every Friday (in their slippers!).
"We know the moments that matter the most to our customers during the holidays is time together with their loved ones, the joy of gifting and the amazing deals that make it all possible," said Jennie Weber, chief marketing and design officer at Best Buy. "This is Gram's first holiday season and he's ready to show shoppers how technology can elevate those important moments in really extraordinary ways across our holiday campaign and inspire with what's possible."
Here's a first look at some of our holiday ads that shoppers will see this season across linear TV, streaming, digital and social media platforms. Plus, for the first time, movie-goers can find these spots in some major theater chains across the country, including AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas and more.
During the holidays we know shoppers often have that moment where they ask, "where do I find a gift that will be sure to wow?" Or maybe even, "what if I gifted myself some tech this year?" Step into our "Perfect Gift" spot with some of the latest tech from top brands, like Bose, Oura, and Therabody, that can be the perfect gift to check off the holiday shopping list.
We know how tech can play a major role in holiday gatherings, whether that's through appliances or home theater, this spot showcases how the latest devices can make them seamless for both the hosts-and the guests. Spend more time workshopping dessert ideas and less time worrying about hosting when there's the right tech to help.
In the "Doorbusters" spot, we're bringing a new twist on an old tradition: Doorbuster shopping. This year we're dropping new doorbusters every Friday, but no longer are those deals exclusively in stores. Now shoppers can go holiday deal hunting wherever they want and create their version of "doing our doorbuster thing" without having to camp out.
Best Buy's award-winning in-house creative team brought this holiday campaign to life. The digital display, email marketing and audio were created in close partnership with Best Buy's digital agenciesRise and Shine PartnersandAccenture Song.
Best Buy's holiday television commercials, created with production partner X-15, were directed by Amber Scheaffer. Amber Scheaffer of O Positive is known for her spoof commercials on "Saturday Night Live" as well as directing for "Jimmy Kimmel Live".
