Liberty Expressway Traffic Moving to New Overpass
What: A contractor is planning to shift traffic to the new Liberty Expressway overpass next week. Eastbound and westbound Expressway traffic will move from on-site detour lanes that were built to accommodate traffic during construction of the two new bridges of the overpass. The detour lanes will then be removed to allow for completion of the roundabout on North Westover Boulevard near the Albany Mall and construction of a new extension road to connect the Boulevard to Ledo Road. The entire project is currently scheduled to be complete at the end of this year.

Where: Liberty Expressway, Dougherty County, west of the Nottingham Way interchange.

When: Scheduled to shift Tuesday, Sept. 10. Please slow down as you approach the area and be prepared for the new traffic alignment.
