Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that preparations have started for a winter shutdown on a bridge replacement project on Route 6 in Richmond Township, Tioga County. The bridge, which carries Route 6 over a tributary to North Elk Run, is located approximately 2.8 miles east of Route 660 in Charleston Township and approximately 2.5 miles west of Route 15 in Mansfield.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, the contractor, H&P Construction, Inc., removed the temporary traffic barrier and traffic has been restored to normal conditions. The detours have been lifted for North Schodac Road and South Schodac Road.
The week of Monday, November 4, 2024, the contractor will perform miscellaneous construction activities in preparation for a winter shutdown. Motorists should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution.
