Osaka University selected for the Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact

Osaka University's project "Multicultural Collaborative Education for Creating Innovation under the Slogan 'Live Locally, Grow Globally'" has been selected for the Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact (Type I) (AY 2024 ~ AY2029) sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

Osaka University refers the education for Japanese and international students with different cultural background work together to find, learn, discus, propose solutions to global and national challenges, and implement them in society, as "multicultural collaborative learning," with the purpose of promoting subjects and courses for collaborative learning.

OU has provided subjects to cultivate global literacy, including International Exchange Subjects, or courses in which Japanese and international students study together. The university will further develop these endeavors through this project. In order to develop talent that can lead the creation of new social worth beyond cultural differences, the university will promote "multicultural collaborative learning" so that Japanese and international students will work hard through co-creation with society.

In promoting "multicultural collaborative learning," in cooperation with corporations, municipalities, NPOs, NGOs, and more, OU will engage in collaborative education to develop talent that can contribute to solutions for local and global issues as well as innovation. We humbly ask for your support and cooperation in this project.
