Insight's Season of Giving Begins with a Noble Cause

As the end of the year approaches, the season of giving begins in earnest. This time of year is marked by one of my favorite programs at Insight called Noble Cause. Now in its 14th year, this initiative highlights Insight's core value of Heart by donating technology resources to select charities that empower children with tools for a brighter future.

Thanks to the generosity of our teammates and partners, this year we are donating $250,000 to three vital organizations that make a huge difference in our communities: Ronald McDonald House Charities, Boys & Girls Club of America, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

On Thursday, dozens of teammates served meals to families with hospitalized children who are staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities homes in Chantilly, Virginia; McAllen, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; and our corporate headquarters hometown in the Phoenix area.

Culminating these volunteer efforts were check presentations from Insight totaling $125,000, which will fund new technology that directly benefits visiting families and staff. Close to home for me, it was a privilege to see our teammates baking cookies for families at the Dobson House in Mesa following a $25,000 check presentation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern Arizona.

"Without our community partners like Insight, we wouldn't be able to serve the thousands of families we serve every year," said Julie Ransom, director of development at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern Arizona. "They help us provide essential services to families - a room, meals, all the comforts of home - something they don't have to worry about after a long day of medical appointments. They can just focus on their child and the care their child needs to get better."

$2.5M Raised for Children's Causes

Noble Cause has raised $2.5 million in the last decade alone for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish, and Boys & Girls Club of America as part of Insight's In It Together Gives Back program. Established in 2011, the campaign is fueled by donations made by our teammates and Insight's partner community. Additionally, this year Insight teammates raised over $130,000 for United Way as part of the cause.

I'm always impressed by how our teams rise to the occasion to give so generously. In many ways, their donations and volunteer efforts in moments like this reflect how we help our clients to achieve better outcomes through digital transformation.

Noble Cause is just a little more personal, and I've seen first-hand how it changes lives in our communities, especially children who may be enduring challenges many of us will never experience.

Tech Bags for Boys & Girls Club

For other kids, putting new technology in their hands can be a timely boost to help them take important next steps in their lives. We hope for many, it leads to eventual careers in our industry.

On Saturday, I was honored to join in rewarding some very promising teenagers here in the Valley of the Sun who have been recognized by their local Boys & Girls Clubs for academic success, community and Club service, and maintaining all-around high standards.

We welcomed 12 students to our Chandler headquarters who are finalists for the 2024-2025 Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Youth of the Year. Every year I look forward to seeing their excited reactions when we present them with backpacks full of Apple MacBooks and AirPods, Bose QuietComfort headphones, and other devices that can serve them well in their continuing education.

"Every young adult should feel hopeful as they prepare for significant milestones like going to college or a trade school after they graduate from high school. They shouldn't have to wonder if they'll have adequate resources to take that next step," said Rachael Crump, Insight's chief accounting officer and board member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Valley. "There is no more Noble Cause than helping them realize their dreams, and we are thankful to contribute to it."
