City of Denton Invites Public Feedback on use of Grant Funds

Denton, TX, Dec. 9. 2024. - The City's Community Development Department invites residents to review and provide feedback on the 2023-2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which showcases how the City utilized Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds in 2023-2024.

CDBG funds are primarily aimed at improving the quality of life for low- to moderate-income individuals through projects such as infrastructure improvements, economic development, public facilities enhancements, housing rehabilitation, and public services. HOME Program funds focus specifically on creating affordable housing options for low-income households, helping to address critical housing needs in the community.

The CAPER outlines key program activities, funding allocations, and beneficiary/accomplishment data from the 2023-2024 program year.

The draft CAPER is available for public review and comment until Dec. 16, 2024. Residents are encouraged to view the report and share their feedback by visiting the Community Development website.
