Investigators Working to Identify Hit and Run Driver That Injured Pedestrian

Traffic Crash investigators are working to identify the hit and run driver that struck and seriously injured a 74-year-old woman Thursday night as she attempted to cross Gallatin Pike at Welworth Street.

According to witnesses, she was attempting to cross Gallatin Pike at the intersection with Welworth Street at 7:45 p.m. when the driver of a red sedan (possibly a Toyota) struck her.

She was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she is in stable condition. Anyone with information about the hit and run driver/vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous.
