Amata Attends Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Address to Congress

Washington, D.C. -Congresswoman Uifa'atali Amata attended Prime Minister Netanyahu's address to Congress on July 24th.

"Just a few years ago we celebrated the peaceful advancements of the Abraham Accords, and last year, we celebrated with Israel for their 75th anniversary. Then the world changed with the terrible shock of the horrific attack on October 7th. We pray for peace to return, the freedom of the hostages to come home to their families, the defeat of Hamas, and a better future for the peoples of Israel and Palestine," said Aumua Amata.

"It was appropriate for the Congress to hear this address directly from the Prime Minister, in these serious times that require thoughtful policy and decision-making," continued Congresswoman Amata. "On a visit to Israel several years ago, Prime Minister Netanyahu told me that Israel has established diplomatic ties with the Independent State of Samoa, and I was in Jerusalem for the moving of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv and the historic opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem on July 4th of that year."
