Floss, Richey Transition Internationally, Sura Added To Council Headquarters

This week, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) transitioned staff from its Washington, D.C. headquarters to its international offices in Panama City, Panama and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and bolstered its ethanol department.

Caleb Floss is the Council's new Southeast Asia & Oceania (SEA&O) regional trade manager. Floss joined the Council in 2023 as manager of global programs, mainly overseeing operations in Asia, and will now be more directly involved in those activities on the ground.

"Our office has worked closely with Caleb since he first started working at the Council and his familiarity with our goals in the SEA&O region will help him fit seamlessly into this new position," said Caleb Wurth, USGC regional director in SEA&O.

Sierra Richey has transitioned to regional programs and special projects manager for Latin America (LTA). She began with the Council in 2021 as global programs coordinator and was promoted to manager of global programs in 2023.

"Sierra began her journey with the Council as an intern in my office back in 2019. Over the past two years she's been a key member of the program management team in D.C., and now the entire Latin America team is thrilled to have her back. It's been inspiring to see her career flourish, and I'm excited to have a front-row seat as she takes on this new challenge," said Marri Tejada, USGC regional director in LTA.

Lauren Sura has joined the Council as ethanol global programs coordinator after spending time as a temporary hire in the ethanol department this year. She will organize the Council's ethanol programming around the world while working to increase the agricultural and transportation industries' awareness of the opportunities, applications and benefits of biofuels.

"We are delighted to have Lauren join our D.C. ethanol team. Her commitment, passion and expertise in program implementation, stakeholder engagement and administrative management will contribute greatly toward our mission objectives," Mackenzie Boubin, director of global ethanol export development said. "We are eager to have her as a full-time employee to accomplish efforts within the ethanol department's global portfolio."

Please join the Council in congratulating Caleb, Lauren and Sierra on their new endeavors!
