Volusia County Council District 1 Member Don Dempsey will host a Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the county council chambers on the second floor of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
Volusia County Chair Jeff Brower, Public Works Director Ben Bartlett, and Growth and Resource Management Director Clay Ervin will attend the meeting, where residents can ask questions and voice concerns about flooding and other issues. Other County Council members may also attend.
Dempsey's district includes DeLand, Orange City, Lake Helen, Pierson and the northern half of DeBary, along with the unincorporated areas of Astor, DeLeon Springs, Emporia, Seville, Barberville, and surrounding areas.
County Council members' presence and participation may constitute a public meeting for purposes of Florida Statutes Section 286.011. For more information, call the County Manager's Office at 386-736-5920.
