Updated Covid vaccine, flu shots now available at Hannaford pharmacies

Scarborough, Maine - Following authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and ahead of respiratory virus season, the updated Covid-19 vaccine is now conveniently available at Hannaford in-store pharmacies in New England and New York. Availability may be limited and vary by location during the initial roll-out phase.

Hannaford in-store pharmacies are also now offering the annual flu vaccine, as well as the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, which was authorized by the FDA in 2023. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends updated Covid-19 and flu shots for everyone 6 months and older, and the one-time RSV vaccine for adults 60 and older. The CDC states that September and October are the best time to receive a flu vaccine.

Walk-ins are welcome or appointments may be scheduled in advance at Hannaford.com/Pharmacy. Hannaford pharmacists are available for advance phone consultations to discuss individual immunization plans. Private immunization and consultation rooms are available at many Hannaford pharmacies. Age requirements vary by state; customers should check with their Hannaford pharmacy team for questions on eligibility.
