RETHINK Retail recognizes Julie Vargas as a top AI leader in retail

MENTOR, Ohio, August 28, 2024 - Avery Dennison's Julie Vargas has been named one of the 2024 Top AI Leaders by RETHINK Retail as part of its newly launched AiR (AI in Retail) program.

The list highlights 150 leaders across 10 categories who are driving AI innovation, including retailers, brands, technology, investors, ethicists and more. RETHINK Retail defines Top AI Leaders as individuals who are thought leaders and innovators setting trends in the application of AI within the retail sector.

The award recognizes Vargas' leadership in four key areas, namely:

• Inventory and Supply Chain Management

• Sustainability and Waste Reduction

• Checkout and Payment Solutions

• Customer Behavior and Foot Traffic Analysis

The announcement follows successful AI themed events at NRF's Big Show and

ShopTalk earlier this year, where top executives discussed the rapid evolution of retail AI
