Request IT Projects Now Through IT Help Portal

The Project Management Office for IT Services has implemented a new process for requesting IT-related projects. As of today, IT project requests and projects will be managed via the IT Help Portal, offering a more seamless experience for requestors and project managers alike.

By utilizing the Help Portal for project intake and management, users will benefit from its extensive reporting capabilities and resources, providing enhanced insights throughout the entire project life cycle. A few of the key features included in the new process are:

• Automated enhancements to the project intake process

• Consultation services with the Project Management Office

• Project management templates available to campus

• Resource assignments, giving users full visibility into the project work

• Articles and information to support the updated intake process for IT projects

Project requests may be submitted by any university faculty or staff member. However, there are certain criteria a project must meet to be considered a project managed by the Project Management Office, as well as prerequisites to be completed prior to the submission and intake process.

Visit the new IT Project Management homepage found on the menu bar in the IT Help Portal to view an outline of the required criteria for an IT project. Projects that meet the minimum requirements should then go through the prerequisites for requesting an IT project. Additionally, the Project Management Office now offers consultation services for initiatives that do not meet the minimum criteria to become a project.
