Mindy Cohn: You know, they were doing those live versions of Norman Lear sitcoms with all these big stars, so they did one of "Different Strokes" and "Facts of Life" and after that, Norman Lear, who is no longer with us, when he was still alive, he called all of us and said, "I knew you guys were still popular, but holy hell. The response from the live," and basically there was this round table with Octavia Spencer and Amy Poehler and Jennifer Aniston where they all said, "Yeah, our parents grew up with 'All in the Family,' but we grew up with 'Facts of Life.' That's the Norman Lear sitcom that we love," and I think Norman didn't really clock that, so when he did, he said, "Are you guys interested?" and we had all never really talked about it, but we all started to consider it a little bit and we got into talks and we hired a writer and the four of us got together on Zooms. This was during COVID, and we had meetings with Norman about it.

Jeff Lewis: Did you guys watch movies?

Mindy Cohn: We didn't watch movies. No.

Jeff Lewis: And what happened?

Mindy Cohn: What happened was not cute. Yeah. There was, there was drama.

Jeff Lewis: From who?

Mindy Cohn: One of them.

Jeff Lewis: One of the actors.

Mindy Cohn: Mm-Hmm.

Michael Hitchcock: Oh boy. You want to tell who?

Jeff Lewis: Well, a 25% chance-

Shane Douglas: It wasn't Mindy.

Mindy Cohn: It wasn't me. I'll put it that way.

Shane Douglas: So, a 33% chance.

Mindy Cohn: Yeah. One of the girls-

Jeff Lewis: Was difficult.

Mindy Cohn: More than that. Went behind our backs and tried to make a separate deal for a spinoff just for herself and devastated the rest of us who we all, you know, I had booked "Palm Royale," another girl is working. I'm just saying it was for a 40-year friendship and sisterhood, there was tidal wave of emotion around it.

Michael Hitchcock: There's always a greedy b***h.

Mindy Cohn: You know what-

Shane Douglas: Shout out.

Mindy Cohn: You know what, Michael Hitchcock. Greedy b***h. I'll say it.

Jeff Lewis: She was a greedy b***h, and so do you girls not talk to her anymore?

Mindy Cohn: We didn't for a while and now we do-ish, but there's definitely, it was an ouch.
