Covington Named Among Top 10 Firms for Pro Bono in the UK

LONDON-Covington once again made the list of top 10 top law firms for pro bono work in the UK, released by Law.com International, coming 7^th in this year's ranking. The firm averaged 93 pro bono hours per lawyer (the second highest in the top ten) with over 93% of all London lawyers engaged in pro bono work (the third highest in the top ten).

Law.comhighlighted the secondment of one of Covington's trainees who spent six months working as part of a Reprieve casework team, preparing submissions to the United Nations advocating against the death penalty.

Now in its third year, the annual survey recognizes the firms that stand out for their commitment to pro bono work, both in statistical terms, and the nature of the projects they work on. For every firm that took part in this year's research, Law.com Internationallooked at the total number of pro bono hours worked as well as the percentage of each firm's lawyers working on pro bono matters.
