Fort Lawton Redevelopment: Your Chance to Shape the Future

The City of Seattle is embarking on an exciting journey to revitalize the historic Fort Lawton site in the Magnolia neighborhood. The 2024 redevelopment plan aims to transform 34 acres of the former Army Reserve Center into a vibrant community hub featuring supportive housing, affordable homes, and expanded park facilities. As we increase the number of homes from 237 to up to 500, this project will provide much-needed housing for homeless veterans, seniors, and low-income families, alongside public park spaces.

Why Your Voice Matters

As we move forward with the Fort Lawton Redevelopment Plan, we want to hear from you. The City of Seattle Office of Housing, alongside Seattle Parks and Recreation, is conducting a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) to assess potential impacts on our environment. This analysis will cover aspects like geology, air quality, biological resources, and more. We believe that public engagement is crucial in shaping a development that truly benefits the community and reflects your values and needs.
