Irrigation Damage - Report Broken Equipment

During the hot weather, wildlife begins searching for water. Any water source is fair game, including the City's irrigation systems. Rodents begin chewing on drip irrigation lines and coyotes damage sprinkler heads to find water. Rodent damage to irrigation lines will often look like the photo below. Damaged irrigation systems are costly and can waste a large amount of water in a short time. The City's landscape contractors are continually testing irrigation systems, but damage often occurs outside of their test periods. Broken irrigation in City-maintained parkways, medians, planters, and/or parks should be reported to Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
